At The Event

WHAT CAN I EXPECT ONSITE?

There will be numerous event tents set up, a worship area, toilets, showers, and places to eat. There will also be internet available and a place to park your vehicle and of course pitch your tent if you are bringing one.

WHAT FOOD OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

Wood fired pizza, barbeques, Sandwiches, salads, Healthy snack bar. We will have a food truck with delicious on sale. You are also welcomed to bring your own food if preferred.

WHAT IF I NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION?

Access to first aid kits will be available in specific areas of the grounds if needed. For further medical assistance we can help connect you to local hospitals or doctors.

WILL I BE ABLE TO USE MY CARD ONSITE?

No, we do not have the facilities for this at this time. Please bring cash with you.

WILL I HAVE INTERNET ACCESS?

Yes, there are areas for internet access in specific areas if needed.

DO YOU HAVE A PHONE CHARGING STATION?

Yes, there will be access to charging stations around the site.

IS THERE A LOST PROPERTY?

Yes, just ask one of our staff to point you in the direction of the lost property area.

Tickets

DO YOU SELL TICKETS AT THE GATE?

No, this is not a public event. Tickets can only be reserved no later than 48 hours before the event.

WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE?

Access to the grounds, Main Worship area, Prayer tents, Showers, Toilets & internet.

DO YOU DO REFUNDS?

Yes, however if your refund falls outside the 48hour grace period you will be entitled to a 50% refund only.

WHY DO WE NEED A MEMBERSHIP TO OBTAIN A TICKET?

The Sonrise gathering is not for the general public. Your reservation allows us to invite you to as members only gathering on private land.

WHERE ARE MY TICKETS? I CAN'T FIND THEM?

They have been emailed to you. Try searching for the subject line: "Sonrise". You can also try checking your spam just incase it landed there.

In The Event

WHAT DOES THE EVENT PROGRAMME LOOK LIKE?

The event will consist of praise and worship throughout the day and there is a dedicated prayer tent to receive support. We do not have a set programme and it is led by the Holy Spirit, with deep listening and reverence.

ARE THERE CHAIRS TO SIT DOWN?

Yes, there will be lots of chairs placed across the grounds. We also recommend bringing your favourite pillows and blankets to enjoy.

IS THERE PRAYER MINISTRY AVAILABLE?

Yes, we will have a dedicated prayer tent for those, who are needing prayers.

CAN I BRING MY OWN INSTRUMENT?

Yes, we encourage you to bring your own instruments and invite you to play if Holy Spirit is leading you to.

Transport

WHAT TIME DOES THE SITE OPEN?

The festival gates open from 2pm on Saturday 26th August.

HOW DO I GET TO SONRISE FESTIVAL?

The festival location is situated in the South of Portugal in an area called Alentejo. The nearest train station is Santa Clara-Saboia and the nearest town is Sao Teotonio. The closest airport is Faro.

HOW DO I GET TO SONRISE FESTIVAL IF I'M NOT DRIVING?

The nearest train station is Santa Clara-Saboia. Please email us directly and we can arrange carpooling . If you have spare seats and would like to offer a ride, please let us know!

HOW FAR IS THE CARPARK FROM THE ACTUAL SITE?

Approximately 50-70 meters depending on where you park.

Campsite

I HAVE CHILDREN CAN THEY COME?

For this year’s event only children above the age of 12 are permitted. We are working on allowing children of all ages for future events.

CAN I BRING MY PET?

We love pets but unfortunately no pets are allowed for this event to ensure the local animals living on the land remain as undisturbed as possible.

WHERE DO I PARK MY CAR?

There are designated parking areas which is close to the site.

CAN I BRING MY CARAVAN or MOTORHOME?

We have special parking area for both caravans & motorhomes. However there is no overnight stay and camping for this year’s event.

CAN WE USE OUR VEHICLES DURING THE FESTIVAL?

We ask that you do not to leave the site unless for emergencies and if it is very necessary.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Your personal identification, warm clothes, raincoat, blanket and/or mat to sit on, water bottle, musical instruments if you play, Anything else you feel would make your time enjoyable.

AM I ALLOWED A FIRE ONSITE?

No, there will be a number of dedicated fire areas that our team will manage to ensure we keep the overall experience as safe as possible.

WHAT ARE THE SITE RULES?

A. LISTEN

Festival volunteers are charged with making sure the festival runs as smoothly as possible for you. If one of them asks you for help or requests that you do something, please listen to their directions.
In the event of an emergency, please listen to and follow the directions of the Safety Chief Officer and Rescue/Emergency professionals.

B. STAY SAFE

Festival-attendees are expected to exercise common sense and avoid unnecessary risks.
Stay hydrated! Take breaks from the sun! Bring a shade screen or umbrella. Wear a hat, and reapply sunscreen when needed
In the event that you find yourself feeling light-headed, sit down and ask a volunteer for assistance.

C. ENJOY YOURSELF

The Sonrise Festival welcomes all believers. To ensure we have fun treating others with love & respect. If a situation arises with another attendee, please find a volunteer for assistance.
Please have as much fun as humanly possible, but be sure to do so without impinging upon the abilities of other guest to also have fun and enjoy their festival experience.

SECONDARY RULES, GUIDELINES, & ADVICE FOLLOWS FOR THE SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT OF ALL ATTENDEES:

Firearms, weapons, knives, swords, fireworks, and other explosive materials are strictly prohibited.
Alcoholic beverages and illicit substances are not permitted. Possession of either will result in dismissal from the festival grounds.
Pets are not permitted. Even if they are exceptionally cute and are your best friend. Sorry about this rule we love animals but this rule is in place to ensure the festival experience is as enjoyable for all as possible.
Service animals are welcome.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own camp chairs, blankets, hammocks, etc. for a comfortable experience.
All rubbish strictly goes in the rubbish bins provided
As a guest of the Sonrise Festival, please treat all buildings, tents and grounds with respect. Please conduct yourself in such a way that these grounds can be home to Sonrise festival for years and years to come.
